Amarnath Cave

Other than the main ice stalagmite Lingam, there are two other ice formations in the cave representing Parvati and Shiva's son, Ganesha. The location of this 5000 year old cave adds to its beauty and makes it a perfect destination to delve in the powers of divinity.

Amarnath Yatra

Amarnath Yatra holds a special place among Hindus. Pilgrims travel on foot either from Srinagar or from Pahalgam to reach the holy Amarnath cave. The journey from here is not easy. One needs to trek through sharp slopes while passing through Domial, Barari, and Sangam. This 30 kilometres long journey is surely not for faint hearted, and travellers undergo complete heath check up before initiating the expedition.

Baltal

A camping ground for pilgrims taking Amarnath Yatra, Baltal is a beautiful heaven to escape the worldly sorrows. This tiny valley is just a day's journey away from the main cave and remains a must top destination for those taking the sacred trip.

Sheshnag Lake

A stunning mountain lake, Sheshnag Lake is perched at an altitude of about 3,658 m above the sea level. This azure water of this lake remains blanketed with thick ice till the month of June when the ice melts and the beautiful lake comes back to life. It is believed that this is the place where Lord Shiva left his snake while heading for the Amarnath Cave.
